Sorin Sirkus is applying for a performance for the Art Testers program application for the school year 2025–2026

Art institutions are now applying for the Art Testers program for the 2025–2026 school year. Sorin Sirkus is seeking a professional circus performance for the Art Testers program. The selection is conditional upon Sorin Sirkus being chosen as one of the Art Testers institutions for the upcoming school year.

Art Testers brings all eighth-grade students in Finland to experience and evaluate high-quality art. The Art Testers program is more than just a visit to an art institution, as it always includes preparatory and follow-up work that deepens the art experience.

We at Sorin Sirkus are looking for a circus performance that can be presented 10–20 times, or according to another agreed amount, to eighth-grade students in September 2025. Please note that the performance times must fit into the school day schedule of the eighth graders. The performance should be suitable for Sorin Sirkus's arena, accommodating an audience of approximately 200 people, with the possibility of multiple performances on the same day. The setup and teardown of the performance must be quick, as the space will also be used for other purposes during the performance period.

Professional circus groups are welcome to apply.

We ask that informal applications be submitted by 10 November 2024 at 11:59 p.m. to the email address: tuottaja@sorinsirkus.fi.

The application must include at least:

  • A description of the performance, basic information about the performance, and a link to image/video material, if available.
  • A proposal for audience engagement activities in connection with the performance.
  • Technical details and the composition of the working group: artists and technical staff.
  • A proposal for specific performance dates in September 2025.
  • The price of the performance.
  • The CV of the working group or organization and contact information for a representative.
