4 to 8 August 2015 – Tampere, Finland
First ever international Caravan Youth Circus Festival was held in Sorin Sirkus, Tampere Finland in August 2015.
The lineup of participating circuses was l’Ateneu Popular 9 Barris (Spain), Cirkus Cirkör (Sweden), Cirqueon (Czech Republic), Circus Elleboog (Netherlands), Galway Community Circus (Ireland), Circus Upsala (Russia) and Sorin Sirkus (Finland).
The programme of the festival included workshops, master classes, performances by participating groups, possibilities to see other shows in Circus Ruska Festival and in Tampere Theatre Festival and naturally having lots of fun together!
The audience was welcomed to join the festival on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (4.-6.8.) when all the participating circus schools were performing in the circus arena of Sorin Sirkus. The audiences were also able to participate in free circus workshops in which they could try out different circus tricks and equipment. The workshops were held on Wednesday and Thursday during the breaks between performances.
The Festival was a part of 30th anniversary of Sorin Sirkus.
About Youth Festivals
The youth festivals promote the involvement of youngsters in the creation of a circus performances. Their aim is to stimulate international dialogue and favor their personal, physical and professional development.
Moreover, the youth festivals gather different pedagogical projects of circus for children, teenagers and youngsters from all over Europe.
