Baby, Toddler, and Family Circus Training for Circus trainers, January 8–9, 2025

Welcome to Sorin Sirkus in Tampere, Finland, on January 8–9, 2025! This workshop focuses on learning and sharing methods for baby and family circus activities. Over two days, you will gain tools and exercises to enhance your work as a circus trainer, particularly with baby, toddler, and family circus groups.

At Sorin Sirkus, we have over 10 years of experience in baby, toddler, and family circus activities, working with a variety of groups using these methods. The aims and goals of these activities include supporting parent-child interaction and strengthening both physical and psychological skills.
The training will partly use a facilitated knowledge-sharing approach, allowing participants to exchange their own experiences with these methods. The goal is to share as many methods and insights as possible during the two days. Therefore, participants are expected to have at least some prior experience in teaching or training in circus. While experience in baby, toddler, or family circus is not required, it is certainly an advantage.

Time: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM on both days
Place: Sorin Sirkus, Ahlmanintie 63, Tampere, Finland

She has been involved in baby, toddler, and family circus education for 13 years, both nationally and internationally. Her approach emphasizes parent-child interaction while strengthening the entire family’s communication and awareness of their behavior toward one another. Katja is also a certified group therapist specializing in psychodrama and has extensive knowledge in sociology and pedagogy.

Kira and Henri each have nearly 10 years of experience in teaching and facilitating, with Henri also having two decades of performing experience. Both teach at Sorin Sirkus and work with social circus groups. They have actively participated in numerous baby, toddler, and family circus workshops, events, and training sessions at Sorin Sirkus. Kira and Henri hold degrees in circus pedagogy from Turku University of Applied Sciences and are graduates of the social circus training (CTF) program. Henri is known for his calm yet inspiring approach to teaching and connecting with families, while Kira has a remarkable ability to sense unspoken group dynamics and effectively support participants' sense of safety.
